Netflix Selects Perfect Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a adored, popular member has now been chosen.

The platform declared recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. The role can use their power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside several other new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, such as head Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though this character is a important part of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the narrative framework.

Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the role. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is set to return for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
